There are two types of report:

To access reports, click the Reports option on the CommTrak Main Menu:

The above image includes reports for some features of CommTrak that are optional; if you see a feature that is of interest to you, and which is not currently enabled on your CommTrak, please contact the CommTrak Support Team for further information.

Point of Sale features are not documented in this article; please contact CommTrak Support for further information about these features, which relate to CommTrak's ClickPOS and ICE point-of-sale integration.

Standard Reports

All the standard reports (e.g. Customers, Tickets, Workflow, etc) are accessed in a similar manner; in summary:

  1. Select the required report
  2. Specify the reporting criteria (or, optionally, select a predefined Favourite report)
  3. Display or export the report

Please see the Standard Reports article for a full description of all features.

Custom Reports

Custom Reports enable authorised users to extract data based on criteria that are more complex than can be achieved with standard CommTrak reports.

Custom reports can be created by users with a knowledge of SQL (a database query language), or they can be created upon request, by the CommTrak Development Team. Please contact CommTrak Support for further information about our custom report-writing service.

The key features of custom reports are:

  • Complex report generation
  • Scheduled emailing of report results
  • Export to CSV for analysis in third party applications (e.g. Excel, Microsoft Power BI)
  • Restrict access of specific Custom Reports, to role-permitted staff.

The above features are documented in the Custom Reports article.
