Merge Telesales

The Merge Telesales Records feature cannot be reversed! Prior to using this feature, please read this article in its entirety, and ensure that you have fully understood the process and the implications of merging Telesales records.

This feature is used to merge duplicate Telesales records. After merging, only one of the two selected Telesales records will be retained.

This feature does not merge Telesales Opportunities.

Accessing Merge Telesales Records Setting

Utilities > Merge Telesales

Merge Telesales Records

Two Telesales records must be specified for merging.

Select Telesales Records to Merge:

  • Search for the name of the first Telesales record, using the Find first telesales search field.
  • Search for the name of the second Telesales record, using the Find telesales customer search field.

The image above shows the two Find telesales search fields completed with the names of the Telesales records to be merged.

Before proceeding, ensure that you have selected the correct Telesales records; a merge cannot be reversed!

Specify the Merge Method

Once two Telesales records have been specified, select the merge method.

The two options are:

  • Merge and delete first
  • Merge and delete second (default)

The image above shows the merge options, with the default selection of Merge and delete second, selected.

Before proceeding, ensure that you have understood which Telesales record will be retained, and which Telesales record will be deleted.

Merge and delete first

If this option is selected, the second Telesales record will be retained, and data from the first Telesales record will be moved to the second Telesales record. The first Telesales record will be deleted upon completion of the merge process.

Merge and delete second

If this option is selected, the first Telesales record will be retained, and data from the second Telesales record will be moved to the first Telesales record. The second Telesales record will be deleted upon completion of the merge process.

Confirm the Merge

No confirmation is requested after the Merge button has been clicked; the merge occurs immediately, and is irreversible!

Click the button to confirm.

The two selected Telesales records will be merged into a single Telesales record, as specified in the Merge Method options.
