Return an Item to Inventory
This article explains the steps required to return a previously-dispatched item to Inventory.
Only despatched items with a serial number can be returned to Inventory.
The follow steps are depicted in the image at the end of this article:
- Inventory
- Receive Items
- Select a stock location for the incoming item
- Select the Item Type and enter the serial number for the previously-dispatched item
- Press Add - A yellow warning banner is displayed, advising that this in an item being returned to inventory
- Press Add again to confirm that the item is being returned to inventory
If you change your mind about returning the item to inventory at any point prior to step (6), you can click on the Receive items tab (which resets any completed fields), or click on any other option (such as Purchase orders). Alternatively, navigate to any other CommTrak screen.
