Customer Product / Equipment Types (Settings)

The Product Types field is located in the main (top) section of the Customer Screen.

This field may be referred to as Equipment Types, and may be labelled as such on your CommTrak implementation. Please substitute the terminology, as appropriate, when referring to CommTrak Support Centre articles.

Accessing Product Type Settings

Settings > Customer Settings > Product Types

Add a Product Type

Enter a name for the Product Type into the Add a product type field, and click .

Modify a Product Type

  • Select a Product Type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Edit the name of the product type in the Modify a product type field
  • Click

Modifying an existing Product Type will immediately update all customer records with that product type.

Delete a Product Type

  • Select a Product Type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Click

Deleting an existing Product Type will remove the item from all customer records with that Product Type.

Deleting a Product Type cannot be reversed.
