Customer Affiliation (Settings)

The Affiliation field is located in the Modify customer details (main) section of the main Customer Screen.

When a customer has an  Affiliation set to anything other than Not Specified, an Affiliation banner is displayed below the customer's tabs on all of the customer's screens:

Accessing Affiliation Settings

Settings > Customer Settings > Affiliation

Add an Affiliation

  • Enter a name for the new Affiliation into the Affiliation Name field
  • Select or enter the background colour in the Affiliation BG Colour field
  • Select or enter the foreground (text colour) in the Affiliation FG Colour field
  • Click 

Selecting Colours for Affiliation

To select a colour in the background and foreground fields, either enter the hexadecimal web colour into the text field, or click the colour-selector drop-down box, and choose the required colour from the pop-up colour-selection box.

Check that the selected colours are legible to users. For example, selecting a black foreground and light-coloured background will be easy to read, whereas a light-coloured font on a light-coloured background will be difficult or impossible to read.

Modify an Affiliation

  • Select an affiliation from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Edit the name of the affiliation in the Affiliation Name field
  • Select or enter the new background colour in the Affiliation BG Colour field
  • Select or enter the new foreground (text colour) in the Affiliation FG Colour field
  • Click 

Modifying an existing Affiliation will immediately update all customer records with that affiliation.

Delete an Affiliation

  • Select an affiliation from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Click 

Deleting an existing affiliation will set all customer records with that affiliation, to  Not Specified.

Deleting an affiliation cannot be reversed.
