Portal Modules (Settings)

The Portal Modules settings provides for the enabling or disabling of modules in the Customer Portal. The following image shows a screenshot of the customer's view, with several modules enabled:

If a module is enabled for a customer, the icon for the module will be visible to contacts who sign in to the portal, and they will be able to press it to access the module. If a module is disabled for a customer, the icon for the module will not displayed.

The available customer portal modules are:

  • Contacts
  • Data Sheets
  • Documents
  • Jobs
  • Tickets
  • Ticket Dashboard
  • Workflow

Accessing Portal Module Settings

Settings > Portal Settings > Portal Modules > [module name, e.g. Jobs]

Modifying a Portal Module Setting

  • Select a module from the list at the top of the settings screen.
  • Select the required Assigned To option in the dropdown list. The options are:
    • All Customers
    • Customer Group
    • Selected Customers
    • No Customers

All Customers

All customers with portal access will be able to view the module.

Customer Group

Select a Customer Group from the presented dropdown list. Customers in that group will be able to view the module.

Selected Customers

A Customer Search field is presented. Enter a minimum of 3 consecutive characters to find matching companies, then select the required customer from the presented dropdown list:

The selected customer is added to the list of customers that will be able to view the module in the portal:

All customers under the Company Name heading (for example, Amazing Co and Finkel Transport, in the previous image), will be able to view the module.

To remove a customer from the list, press the delete (trashcan) icon (visible in the previous image)

No Customers

No customers will be able to view the module in the portal

Save

In all cases, where changes have been made, included deleting customers, the Save button must be pressed to confirm the changes.
