Inventory Locations (Settings)

Inventory Locations are required for:

  • Incoming and outgoing inventory items
  • Transferring current inventory items
  • Triggering Low Stock Warnings
  • Stock Movement Notifications

Accessing Inventory Location Settings

Settings > Inventory Settings > Inventory Locations

Add an Inventory Location

Press the New Location button, then specify the following fields:

  • Location Name (mandatory) - the name of the Inventory Location (e.g. Head Office Storage, Workbench, WA Warehouse)
  • Email Stock Movements To (default Not Specified) - select the name of the staff member who would receive notifications of stock movements to and from this Location
  • Include in Low Stock Count (default Yes) - specify if this Inventory Location should be included in Low Stock warnings

 Press to create the Inventory Location

Modify an existing Inventory Location

  • Select an Inventory Location from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Update the fields as required
  • Press

Modifying an existing Inventory Location will immediately update the name of the Location for all Inventory items allocated to the modified Inventory Location.

Delete an existing Inventory Location

  • Select an Inventory Location from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Press the  button that is displayed below the Modify location section heading
  • Confirm deletion of the Inventory Location, or Cancel the deletion

An Inventory Location cannot be deleted if there are Inventory Items allocated to the location.

Deleting an Inventory Location cannot be reversed.
