Inventory Item Type Categories (Settings)

Inventory Items can be assigned to a Category Type for identification purposes:

Accessing the Inventory Item Type Categories Settings

Settings > Inventory Settings > Inventory Item Type Categories

Adding an Inventory Item Type Category

• Click New Category at the top of the settings screen

The following fields are presented:

Parent Category

An optional Category to which this category will be assigned; the newly-created category will become a child-category.

The Parent Category must have previously been created as a Category in this settings screen.

Category Name (mandatory)

Enter a name for the new Category

Category Code

An optional code that can be used for identifying the new Category.

• Click Add to confirm the new Category settings.

Modifying an Inventory Item Type Category

• Select an Inventory Item Type Category from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
• Edit the available fields as required
• Click  Save to confirm changes

Deleting an Inventory Item Type Category

• Select an Inventory Item Type Category to delete, from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
• Click  Delete to delete the Inventory Item Type Category

The Inventory Item Type Category is deleted without any prompting.

Deleting an Inventory Item Type Category cannot be reversed.
