Project Types (Settings)

Project Types are used to categorise Projects for the purposes of filtering and reporting. When a new Project is created, the Project Type defaults to Not Specified, and can subsequently be specified when viewing the Project, by selecting the required item from Project Type dropdown list.

Project Status is a sub-setting of Project Types.

Accessing Project Type Settings

Settings > Project Settings > Project Types

Add a Project Type

Enter a name for the Project Type into the Add new project type field, and click Add.

Modify an existing Project Type

• Select a Project Type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
• Edit the name of the Project Type in the Modify project type field
• Click Save

Modifying an existing Project Type will immediately update all Projects with that type.

Delete an existing Project Type

If a Project Type is deleted, all Projects that currently have the deleted Project Type assigned will retain the Project Type, but it will not be possible to assign the deleted Projected Type to new or existing Projects.

Add a Project Status

• Select a Project Type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
• Enter a name for the Project Status into the Add new project type status field
• Click Add

Modify an existing Project Status

• Select a Project Type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
• Select a Project Status from the list displayed under the heading Select a project status to modify
• Edit the name of the Project Status in the Modify project type status field
• Click Save

Delete an existing Project Status

• Select a Project Type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
• Select a Project Status from the list displayed under the heading Select a project status to modify
• Click the Delete button that is displayed below the Modify project type status section heading.

Deleting a Project Type or Project Status cannot be reversed.
