Ticket Types (Settings)

Ticket  Types and Subtypes are used to categorise tickets for the purposes of assignment, filtering and reporting. The ticket type will be blank if no ticket type is specified when the ticket is created.

Accessing Ticket Type Settings

Settings > Ticket Settings > Ticket Types

Add a Ticket Type

Enter a name for the Ticket Type into the  Add a ticket type field, and click .

Modify an existing Ticket Type

  • Select a ticket type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Edit the name of the ticket type in the Modify ticket type field
  • Click 

Modifying an existing Ticket Type will immediately update all ticket with that type.

Delete an existing Ticket Type

  • Select a ticket type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Click 

Add a Ticket Subtype

  • Select a ticket type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Enter a name for the Ticket Subtype into the Add a ticket subtype field
  • Click 

Modify an existing Ticket Subtype

  • Select a ticket type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Select a ticket subtype from the list displayed under the heading Select a ticket subtype to modify
  • Edit the name of the ticket subtype in the Modify ticket subtype field
  • Click 

Delete an existing Ticket Type

  • Select a ticket type from the list displayed at the top of the settings screen
  • Select a ticket subtype from the list displayed under the heading Select a ticket subtype to modify
  • Click the  button that is displayed below the Modify ticket subtype section heading.

If a ticket type or subtype is deleted, all tickets that currently have the deleted type or subtype assigned will have the ticket type and subtype removed (i.e. a ticket type will no-longer be assigned to the ticket).

Deleting a ticket type or subtype cannot be reversed.
